February 28, 2007 Contact: Thicker is Better Inglewood, CA PML now manufactures and sells a sand-cast aluminum transmission pan for GM 4T60E/4T65E transmissions. Designed with racing in mind, front wheel drive GM vehicles with these transmissions like Grand Prix, GTP, Regal, Bonneville and LeSabre can benefit from the thick wall construction and their owners will enjoy easier oil changes because of the pan's drain hole and magnetic drain plug. Minivan moms and dads with Oldsmobile Silhouette, Pontiac Trans Sport or Chevrolet Lumina APV can also use this pan. The sand-cast aluminum construction has thick walls to add strength to the transmission case. A precision-machined 3/8-inch thick gasket flange provides a uniform clamping force on the gasket so the pan is much less prone to leak than stock pan which is typically 1/32-inch thick stamped steel. The design features raised fins for cooling, a low profile for clearance, and an undrilled boss for temperature sensors. The pan is available in as-cast, black powder coated, and polished finishes. The fins are shaved when a powder-coat finish is selected. The PML part number is 10758. About PML: In 1986, PML began by providing dimensional inspection, prototyping, tooling, reverse engineering, and CAD modeling to the manufacturing industry. In 1998, PML began the transition to the automotive aftermarket with the design and manufacture of Cadillac® valve covers. Today, PML offers more than 100 pans and covers. All PML products are designed and manufactured in the USA. PML is a member of SEMA and ORBA. |
