PML Press Release New Dodge Ram Transmission Pan

Inglewood, CA – PML announces an extra capacity sand-cast transmission pan for the 2007 and newer Dodge Ram 2500 & 3500 trucks with diesel engines. The transmission on these trucks is the Dodge 68RFE. This pan fits both four and two wheel drive models and increases the transmission oil capacity by 3 1/8 quarts for two wheel drive and 2 1/2 quarts for four wheel drive.

The increased oil capacity reduces oil temperatures. The pan has cast-in internal baffles to keep the oil near the pickup tube, so a filter extension is not needed. On the outside of the pan, raised fins help keep oil cool and add a custom look.

The pan also features: a cast-in boss that can be drilled and tapped for a temperature sensor, 3/16-inch thick wall construction to add strength to transmission case, 3/8-inch thick gasket flange for a secure seal, and a magnetic drain plug for easier, less messy maintenance.

The pan is available in as-cast, black, and polished finishes. The PML part number is 10304. The pan also fits vehicles with the Dodge 45RFE transmission such as the Ram 1500 with the 4.7 or Hemi engine, 2000 and newer Dakota and Durango with the 4.7 engine, and 1999 and newer Jeep Grand Cherokee with 4.7 engines.
