Inglewood, CA, September 18, 2006 – PML has a new extra-capacity transmission pan designed for the Dodge A500/42RE/44RE transmission. This transmission is commonly found in Dodge Dakota and Ram 1500 trucks with V6 or 5.2 V8, Jeep Wrangler, Cherokee & Grand Cherokee.

 The new PML Dodge A500/42RE/44RE deep transmission pan features two quarts more oil capacity than stock and has internal baffles to ensure the filter remains immersed in oil under the toughest conditions.  The increased oil capacity reduces oil temperatures.  Raised fins also keep oil cool and add a custom look.  The pan features a precision-machined 0.350 inch-thick gasket flange, which will not bend when the bolts are tightened. The thick wall sand-cast aluminum construction adds strength to the transmission case. The pan comes with a magnetic drain plug for easy oil changes and an un-drilled boss for temperature sensors.

These features benefit Dodge and Jeep vehicles used for towing, hauling or off-road use.  The PML Dodge A500/42RE/44RE transmission pan is available in three finishes:  as-cast, black powder coated, polished. The PML part number is 9862.
