This valve cover is a SET. Covers have as-cast finish. They have not been irridited (a chemical process to prep sand-cast parts for powder coating).

One cover is on special because one bolt hole was drilled too large. This is the top cover in the images below. The bolt will go right through the hole. To install this cover, you will need a washer for this bolt hole. Bolts are supplied, washers are not. So after installation, this hole with washer and bolt will look different that the other bolt holes. One suggestion would be to use the same washer on all holes for a consistent look. In the bottom image, the large hole is indicated with a blue arrow.

The second cover is on special because the cut-outs on the inside may not be large enough. This is the bottom cover in the images below. Some heads will require the cut-outs to be enlarged for the cover to fit. If you look at the picture of the inside of the covers (second image down), you can see that the cut-outs on the cover with the oversized hole are a little larger and deeper than on the bottom cover. This cover is also dirty and needs to be cleaned with soap and water.
