Valve Covers

These PML valve covers are standard perimeter mount covers for pre-1986 small block Chevy engines. The classic CORVETTE script and 7 fins are cast into the cover and are raised. On powder coated parts, the powder coat is shaved off the top of the script and the fins. These valve covers feature cast-in baffling and a mid-height design that will clear most roller and/or ratio rockers.

PCV, Breather, and Oil Fill:

These small block Corvette valve covers have baffles cast-in as shown in image at left. These covers do not include holes for PCV, oil fill or breathers. For engines that require PCV, oil fill or breather on the valve cover, PML designed the casting to be thicker on the intake manifold side below the C where baffle is located. This area can machined with a hole. PML has a machined shop and can machine holes for $40 per hole, and holes and be either 1" or 1.22" in diameter. Please call to order if you would like PML to machine a hole for you.

In 2010, we updated our design to remove the indented recessed location on the intake manifold side of the covers below the C. The orange powder coat covers still have this. PML's other small block Chevy valve covers have a recessed location. Either way, the covers can be machined.
