These are standard perimeter mount covers for pre-1986 small block Chevy engines. The oval pad and fins are cast into the cover and are raised. On powder coated parts, the powder coat is shaved off the top of the fins. These covers feature a mid-height design that will clear most roller and/or ratio rockers. These covers are designed to accomodate the script Ford logo (which must be purchased separately), but you can use the pad for your own logo or other design. Engines get hot so be sure to use a logo and adhensive that will withstand the heat. Click here for dimensions in a pdf file. A separate window will open and load the file. Note that the fins add height to the outside dimension given in the file. As sold here on the website, these valve covers will not have holes for PCV, breather, or oil fill. The covers have a recessed cast-in location on intake manifold side that can be machined. Holes can be machined for PCV, breather or oil fill for $35 per hole, and holes and be either 1" or 1 1/4" in diameter. Please call to order if you would like PML to machine a hole for you.
