PML designed these valve covers with the traditional styling of rounded corners and the classic CHEVROLET script for an old school look and feel. PML valve covers are sand cast aluminum and strong. They will not flex when bolts are tightened. The script is cast into the cover and raised. On powder coated parts, the powder coat is shaved off the top of the script. On polished finish parts, the band is not polished to provide contrast to the script. These PML valve covers are standard flange mount covers for 1959 to 1986 small block Chevy engines (265, 283, 327, 350, 400). The valve covers mount on to the cylinder heads with four bolts on the perimeter, directly across from each other. We fit each cover on a stock GM cylinder head with stock rocker arms. These covers fit on many engine configurations and feature a mid-height design that will clear many roller rocker systems. Verify engine configuration, dimensions, and clearance before ordering as PML has a restocking fee. We have one set of these on SPECIAL. Fitting on Your Engine ChecklistConfigurations vary! Do our Checklist before you order. We have a Loaner Program if you need a cover to test fit. Optional PCV, Breather, and Oil Fill Holes![]() Our approach to PCV and breather holes is unique so we prepared a document detailing PML Specifications on Oil Fill, Breather and PCV (click to view). PML small block valve covers can be ordered with or without PCV, oil fill and breather holes. Choose the option in the shopping cart. The option for PCV and breather holes includes one hole in each cover, a PCV grommet, a push-in breather, and an oil fill tube. Please call if your engine configuration requires one hole or to discuss your requirements. ![]() PML machines the valve covers to order in our shop. We use four or five different tools, shown in picture, on a CNC machine to create neat, leak-free holes. Spot facing provides a smooth sealing surface for grommets. We have two videos showing the machining process: step-by-step of PML machining a PCV hole and step-by-step of PML machining a hole for our push-in breather. Roller RockersThese PML valve covers work with many engine configurations and roller rocker systems. If you have something other than stock, see our web page on fitting PML valve covers on small block Chevy engines. PML Valve Covers Compared to Stock
